How do I make a word cloud from text?
Paste your text and the generator sizes each word by how often it appears, arranging them into a visual cloud. You can choose colour palettes, filter stop words and download the result as a PNG image.
Can I make a word cloud in a heart or star shape?
Yes. Pick heart, star, circle or rectangle under Shape and the words are laid out inside that outline, so the finished cloud reads as the shape itself. Heart-shaped clouds are popular for weddings, cards and Valentine's gifts.
Can I remove common words from the cloud?
Yes. Enable stop-word filtering to hide frequent function words like the, and and of, so the cloud highlights the words that actually carry meaning. You can also type your own comma-separated list of extra words to exclude.
Can I upload a text file instead of pasting?
Yes. Upload a .txt or .csv file, or drag it straight onto the text box, and it is read in your browser. Files up to 2 MB are accepted.
Can I download the word cloud as an image?
Yes. Download the cloud as a PNG for presentations and social posts, or as an SVG for print and design work. The SVG is true vector text, so it stays sharp at any size and each word can still be edited in Illustrator, Figma or Inkscape.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The word cloud is generated entirely in your browser using a canvas, so your text and the resulting image never leave your device.
